What translators are saying about Magic Beans Agency
“Reclaim Tomorrow helped me stay focused on the current situation and on future possible scenarios for the language industry. Tons of info on the new technologies, as well as emerging opportunities and specialization. Moreover, over the weeks we built a lively community of skilled peers, exchanging opinions, doubts and wishes. An incredible experience.”

Silvia Giancola

Pro Translator EN,FR>IT

“I’ve learnt a lot, and this is not easy to learn this much because it is either too general or too technical (and I’m not a computational linguist 😉). It was interesting to listen to so many professionals in diverse fields and to get an overview of the situation and the different possible applications. I also liked the interactive format, so yes, I would definitely recommend it.”

Sandrine Constant-Scagnetto

Freelance Translator EN>FR, technical & medical

“I have enjoyed taking part in the course very much. A lot of learning and useful information, eg, LLM/MT assessment tools and techniques, LinkedIn optimization, advice on LifeSciences (where I actually work right now), interpreting techniques and tools, CAT tools set-up, etc. In my opinion, all instructors were amazing and their presentations were very good, provided a lot of useful information and even had additional information to explore later. I would definitely recommend the course to colleagues.”

João Campos,

Freelance Translator EN, FR, ES > PT, Tech, MedTech & Life Sciences

“I really enjoyed this course. It was well organized, thorough, it gave me so much food for thought.
What I really liked is the involvement of various professionals, each with their specialization. I think this is what gave us an idea of what opportunities there are out there, even if they are not part of our specialization.”

Giorgia Magris

Audiovisual Translator / Subtitler / Dialogue Adapter EN, ES > IT

Why this matters. NOW:

You didn’t get into translation to send cold emails. You got into it because you love language and you wanted to do work that mattered. Then the rates dropped, the platforms got crowded, and someone told you that you need to build a personal brand. We’re not going to ask you to become a marketer. We’re going to give you a practical, workable system that connects you with the right clients and then allows you to do the work you’re good at, and charge the rates you want.

The Client Acquisition Gap

You've built the craft. You were never shown the rest.

You can render technical density into accessible prose, hold register across a 30,000-word document and pick between three near-synonyms based on the implied audience.

But none of that taught you how to identify which businesses in your chosen field will value that work, or how to find the right decision-maker inside them, or what to say in your first message.

SIGNED closes this gap.

The Window

Specialism rewards the early.

In every vertical from life sciences, to fintech, legal, gaming, ESG, and IP there is a list of translators that buyers know to call.

AI is magnifying the gap between generalists and translators who add specialised value, creating new opportunities for subject matter experts.

Translators investing in their commercial positioning and knowhow in 2026 have a chance to build relationships with clients who value their expertise.

The Solution

Five days. A proven system we built for you.

Five live 90-minute sessions across one week. Every session is action-led, not lecture-led.

On Day 1 you decide your direction and specialization. On Day 2 you define how to articulate your value to clients. On Day 3 you are identifying potential clients with named decision-makers and sending real first messages, On Day 4 you rehearse pricing and sales conversations until they stop feeling awkward.

Day 5 you prepare your 90-day action plan and pair with an accountability partner before logging off.

What you walk away with

In 5 days, you will have:

A specific, memorable niche

your ideal clients recognise themselves in

20 qualified potential clients

named decision-makers, researched companies, ready to contact

3 email templates, updated content for your LinkedIN profile

written, stress-tested, and already deployed

Discovery, pricing & objection language

rehearsed on camera

A 45-minute daily outreach routine

you can actually sustain

A 90-day plan

with specific milestones, not intentions

At least one real conversation

started or booked before Day 5 ends

Not theory. Not notes you’ll never open.  But a clear strategy and action plan.

Who this is for

Built for translators who recognise themselves in any of these.

You’ve thought about reaching out, but didn’t.

You opened a draft on LinkedIn, wrote something, deleted it, and closed the tab. You knew what to say in your head. The moment you tried to type it, every word felt either too pushy or too apologetic.

You watched a former colleague land an amazing client, and didn’t ask how.

Asking felt like admitting something. So you liked the post, told yourself you’d figure it out, and moved on. The question is still there, you just haven’t answered it.

A five-minute discovery call leaves you rattled for the rest of the day.

The call wasn’t even bad. They asked about your rates, you answered. You spent the next four hours mentally re-running it, certain you’d undersold – or oversold – yourself.

You’ve thought about specialising properly, but didn’t know how to start.

You know which industries you’d love to translate for. What you don’t have is a way to position yourself there visibly enough that buyers find you, or a process to find them when they don’t find you.

You’ve read a pile of articles about freelance marketing and finished none.

The advice was generic. The frameworks didn’t fit a translator’s reality. The examples were always SaaS founders or coaches. You closed every tab thinking that’s not how my market works.

You’re tired of the income wobble.

Not because the work isn’t there, but because it’s never the work you picked, or wanted to do. You want to be the one choosing.

The 5-day curriculum

Understand your task. Build the system. Leave with a plan.

01

Day 1 · Mon, June 8

Facilitators: Rita Gonçalves & Robert Martin

Your Value, Strategy & Direction

Most translators have never asked themselves the right question. Not ‘what can I do?’ but ‘who do I want to serve, and why does it matter to them?’ You’ll audit your capabilities, pick a validated vertical using a structured scoring framework, and walk out with 10 real named potential clients. Nothing vague passes.

You leave with

Updated capabilities statement · named, validated vertical · 10 real potential clients.

02

Day 2 · Tue, June 9

Facilitator: Massimo Tedeschi

Your Value Proposition & Outreach Content

Knowing who you’re going after isn’t enough. You need to know what to say about yourself, and to them. Build a value proposition framed entirely around client outcomes (not linguistic credentials), rewrite it live with peer feedback, then convert it into a LinkedIn headline, a 30-second verbal pitch, and three outreach templates ready to send.

You leave with

Positioning statement · 30-second pitch · rewritten LinkedIn · 3 outreach templates ready to deploy.

03

Day 3 · Wed, June 10

Facilitator: Clara García

Build the List & Launch Your Outreach

Good messages sent to the wrong people still fail. The first half is entirely about finding the right people. The second half puts the templates from Day 2 to immediate use: first messages sent live, in the room, before anyone logs off. Define your ideal client, use LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, Meet Alfred and other tools to identify 20 qualified prospects, then send your first 10 personalised messages with live coaching.

You leave with

20 qualified prospects · named decision-makers · first 10 messages sent live.

04

Day 4 · Thu, June 11

Facilitators: Robert Martin & Rita Gonçalves

Managing Opportunities

By Day 4 you’ve sent outreach. Some replies. Some silence. Both useful. Learn the discovery-call arc, debrief live responses, and practice four scenarios on camera: the discovery call · the pricing conversation · the negotiation · scope creep. Every uncomfortable moment is rehearsed at least twice. You’ll leave with a proposal template that positions you as a strategic partner, not a vendor.

You leave with

Live outreach debrief · 4 commercial scenarios rehearsed · pricing and objection language ready.

05

Day 5 · Fri, June 12

Facilitators: Clara García & Rita Gonçalves

Consistent Outreach & Your 90-Day Plan

The skills are built. The list exists. The messages are going out. Day 5 exists so none of this stops when the programme ends. Design a 45-minute daily outreach routine, review your live pipeline in front of the group, write a 90-day plan with specific milestones, and pair with an accountability partner. The first three check-ins are scheduled before anyone leaves.

You leave with

Daily outreach routine · 90-day plan with milestones · accountability partner · at least one real conversation booked.

90 minutes a day. 5 days. A clear plan and a list of potential clients.
Not someday. Friday, June 12. Day 1 is closer than it feels.

Day 1 full refund, no questions asked. By day 30: if you haven’t sent your three outreach messages and built your prospect list, we refund in full.

Meet your instructors

Four facilitators. One outcome.

Robert Martin

Co-leads Days 1 and 4

Twenty-plus years inside the language industry, advising LSPs and language professionals on growth and commercial strategy. Robert’s view: the gap between excellent translators and excellent translation businesses is rarely about talent, almost always about commercial confidence and structure.

Massimo Tedeschi

Leads Day 2

Massimo runs marketing for language professionals the way he wishes more people did: practical, specific, focused on the buyer. He believes most freelancer marketing fails because it talks about the freelancer instead of the client. Day 2 is built around dismantling that habit.

Clara García

Leads Day 3, co-leads Day 5

Clara has spent her career in the part of business development most freelancers find hardest: prospecting and live outreach. Her conviction is that prospecting becomes far less daunting once you have a simple system you can follow.

Rita Gonçalves

Co-leads Days 1, 4, and 5

Rita represents you, the language worker, for over 30 years. She’s worked as a freelance localiser and also as a vendor manager for some of the world’s largest LSPs. She understands the real world problems you face each day and assures that the content we’re providing is helpful, applicable and relevant.

What your instructors commit to

The team behind SIGNED has worked with hundreds of language professionals. SIGNED itself is a new programme.

SIGNED is a new programme. The team running it is not. Magic Beans Agency has delivered Reclaim, our flagship AI upskilling programme, to 250 LSPs and Reclaim Tomorrow to 70 freelance translators.

What’s different about SIGNED is the curriculum itself: redesigned from the ground up for freelance translators, not adapted from a corporate programme.

“By Friday, you will have sent real outreach to real decision-makers in a vertical you chose deliberately. Not theory. Not someday. Friday, June 12.

Some plain math

A single project from your ideal client, say a 10,000-word document at €0.10 per source word, returns roughly €1,000.
That single project covers the early-bird investment more than five times over. SIGNED is engineered to put the first one within reach inside the first month.

Risk-free, on your terms

Day 1, no questions asked. Attend Day 1. If it’s not for you, tell us before Day 2 and we refund you in full.
Or, do the work and stay protected for 30 days. Complete all five sessions, do the homework, send the outreach. If 30 days after Day 5 you have not started a single real prospect conversation, we refund you in full.

We’d rather have people in the room who want to be there.

Why now

Five things working in your favour, if you start now.

The translator market is moving in directions that reward people who act deliberately. None of these mean you need to panic. What matters is that the skills to act on them are learnable.

01

Clear specialism rewards the early.

In every vertical there’s room to become a recognised name in your chosen field. Translators positioning themselves clearly in 2026 still have plenty of room to claim their place. The earlier you start, the longer your specialism has to compound.

02

New client relationships build and pay dividends.

Five new relationships built this year become fifteen in three years through referrals, repeat work, and reputation. The math works in your favour once you start.

03

A diversified client base is good business.

Most freelancers earn the majority of their income from a small number of relationships. Adding new clients in chosen verticals means more options, more resilience, more control. Good for your business, and your sanity.

04

Buyer behaviour is opening new doors.

Specialist buyers increasingly find translators directly through LinkedIn, communities, content, and referrals. The skills to be visible and findable are different from those that won work a decade ago, and they’re learnable.

05

AI is rewarding specialists.

Specialist work where judgment, context, confidentiality, and accountability matter is becoming more valuable, not less. Translators with strong relationships in chosen verticals are well placed to benefit.

The skills to act on all of this are learnable. SIGNED teaches them in five days.

Day 1 full refund, no questions asked. By day 30: if you haven’t sent your three outreach messages and built your prospect list, we refund in full.

FAQ

Your questions, answered.

[email protected]

Why now? Why not in six months?

Specialism rewards first movers, and fortune favours the brave. In every vertical there's room for a finite number of go-to translators before referral networks lock in - and client relationships compound (five built this year become fifteen in three years). The translator who waits competes against names that already exist. AI is accelerating this consolidation, not slowing it.

Who is SIGNED for?

Freelance translators and language professionals who want to build a direct pipeline in their chosen verticals, deepen their commercial skills, and take ownership of their business growth. If you've got strong linguistic expertise and want to match it with strong commercial skills, this is built for you.

What if I’ve never done outreach before?

Good. The programme assumes you haven't. You'll write your first message in Day 2 and send it in Day 3, with live coaching in the room.

What if I’m not comfortable with selling?

Good - because this isn't sales training. SIGNED is about positioning yourself so the right clients can find you, and then having a confident conversation when they do. There's no cold-calling, no closing scripts, and no pressure tactics. By the end of the week you'll have sent your first messages and practiced the client conversation in a safe environment.

What if I’m just not naturally the kind of person who does this?

Most translators reading this page won't think they are. SIGNED is built precisely so it doesn't depend on you being a natural at any of this. Outreach happens in the room with structure and live coaching, not on your own staring at a blank LinkedIn message. Pricing conversations are rehearsed on camera, twice each, until they stop feeling rehearsed. Personality matters less than people fear. Structure matters more than people realise.

Will there be recordings?

Yes. Every session is recorded and meeting summaries are shared afterwards. But SIGNED is designed to be attended live - most of the value is in the room with the group.

What if I have to miss a session?

You'll have the recording and meeting summary, plus homework from the previous day to keep you in sync. Peer accountability kicks in from Day 1, so you won't drift.

Does this work for my language pair? My region?

Yes. SIGNED's frameworks are vertical-led, not language-pair-led. Whether you work in JA-EN for fintech, EN-PT for life sciences, AR-FR for legal, or any other pair, the work of identifying buyers, positioning yourself, and holding commercial conversations is the same. Past Magic Beans Agency participants come from across Europe, the Americas, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

Is this only for translators, or also for interpreters and other language professionals?

The framework works for any language professional selling services to clients - translators, interpreters, subtitlers, localisation consultants. Examples are translation-led, but the structure applies across disciplines.

What tools do I need?

Zoom, a LinkedIn account (Basic is fine; Sales Navigator is demonstrated but not required), and a spreadsheet or free CRM. Everything else is provided.

How is SIGNED different from a regular sales course?

Sales courses teach frameworks. SIGNED builds the system while you're in it. Outreach goes out on Day 3. Four commercial conversations are rehearsed on Day 4. The 90-day plan is written on Day 5. Nothing sits on a to-do list.

Will I get new clients from this?

The programme is engineered backwards from one outcome: a real new client conversation booked in the first month, and the tools you need to keep adding more opportunities. We can't guarantee a closed deal - that's your work - but we guarantee you'll walk out of Day 5 executing, not preparing.

Can I expense this through my business?

Yes. Invoices provided for each registration. VAT handled per your jurisdiction.

The clients you want to work with exist. They just don’t know about you yet.

Five days changes that.

By Friday, you will have a named specialism, a researched list of twenty buyers, three deployed messages, and the system to keep going long after the bootcamp ends.

Not someday. Friday.
